Dental Veneers
Want to transform the appearance of your smile? If so, dental veneers may be the ideal solution for you
- Chipped, cracked or crooked teeth
- Discolouration
- Teeth that are too short or too long
- Misalignments or gaps
The benefits of veneers:
Customised to you
Custom-designed veneers can mask the appearance of aesthetic concerns whilst potentially crafting the beautiful proportions of your ideal smile. Each porcelain slip is custom designed and made to suit the unique proportions of your smile.
Natural appearance
Colour-matched to the exact shade and translucency of your natural tooth enamel, these incredibly strong and incredibly slim veneers are bonded to the visible surfaces of your teeth to create natural-looking beautiful results.
Strong and enduring
With good care these stain resistant veneers should last for more than a decade. The make-up of the porcelain used to make the veneers allow for strong resistance to staining and chipping, meaning that you can retain the shape and colour of your veneers for many years.
Before getting dental veneers
What is the procedure for getting porcelain veneers?
- Your tooth will then be prepared, which involves the removal of a small amount of enamel from your tooth.
- Next, an impression will be made of your tooth. The impression is then sent to a dental laboratory, which uses the impression to create your veneer.
- In the interim, a temporary veneer may be placed on your tooth.
- Once your porcelain veneer is ready, your dentist will give you a call to have the veneer fitted. Adjustments will be made to your porcelain veneer (if need be) to ensure the perfect fit and colour.
- After your tooth has been cleaned, polished and etched, the veneer is then permanently attached to your tooth using dental cement.
- maintain good oral hygiene
- chew sugar-free gum
- drink plenty of water
- avoid certain foods
